So at first when I started the manhwa, the plot felt so repetitive and generic that I almost dropped it. But because so many recommended it to me, I kept reading it. Before I even realized it, I had caught up to the manhwa. For some reason, I thought of reading the web novel. And eventually I ended up binge reading it. The characters at first might not feel very interesting and the plot could feel childish but trust me, as you keep reading it, the concept just becomes so heavy. You'll come to realize that chung myung isn’t just a surface level hot blooded idiot who loves beating people up, but just a really well written character who can't belong anywhere because there's no one who truly knows him. Baekcheon is also one of the characters who'll really grow on you. In a way, it could teach you one oe two things (because it gets philosophical at times and also cause the story takes place in ancient china where people followed Buddhism, and Taoism.) The antagonist (not the main one) Jang ilso is also such a well written villain that you’ll undoubtedly come to realllllyyyyyy hate but at the same time, cannot help but love him cause he's just so human, and so flawed. There's still a long way to go before the main villain cheonma appears. Overall, It's a really good read. So good that I binged 2000 chapters in only a few days. Also, I think it was around chap 1700+ when Baekcheon shattered his dantian and became really weak. The angst from there made me so depressed bro. When he got excommunicated from mount hua, I literally couldn’t bring myself to continue the novel and even hated Hyunjong a little. But im glad I continued it cause at the end, bc came with an amazing character development. Im so glad that cm at least has bc to share his worries with.
