6/10 it was a good read while it lasted. This feels like a strange read because, unlike what I initially believed, this is more like romance with a bit of trying to be horror instead of horror with romance. My enthusiasm to read declined rapidly when the love interest's true identity was revealed because it feels like a tonal shift. Previously, all of her horror-like behaviors had been portrayed in a kind of cute way, so in that reveal, where the MC is absolutely terrified, it felt unrealistic but realistic at the same time, if that makes sense. Also, the way she comes to the conclusion about the love interest is so contrived.
