The premise is pretty unique for a hunterverse! I really liked how it started off with exploring the MC's trauma and how the hate affected him. However, I think it lost a lot of steam towards the last half of the novel. 😭 <spoiler>This part really peeved me: it starts out in present time with flashbacks woven in between, and I really wanted to know how the MC & ML's relationship developed and etc... But their relationship is kind of glossed over...</spoiler>

This novel is so unexpectedly good and different from most BL novels I've read. Definitely for those who are looking for something heavier to read. BUT, it's VERY slow burn and quite long-winded because the MC is quite the yapper. You don't even meet the ML until like 45-50 chapters in and there's not a lot of focus on romance, but I would still recommend it to everyone.
