Weather Ledger Without Rain

Toki woke up inside a body that belonged to a phantom thief, with a stolen weather ledger in his hands and someone else’s life stuck to his skin. The ledger kept perfect records of rain, wind, and fog, except for one day written in different ink, the day that did not match any witness account. Toki used his new body to break into locked rooms, take back stolen heirlooms, and return them to the people who had lost them. He hated how good he was at it. He also hated how often his sleeve brushed a worn notebook that Rina was never supposed to know he still kept. When his own mark started fading in public, he had to choose between staying hidden and admitting the past was hunting him.
