To me, this novel is great. It brings back nostalgia every now and then and often makes me want to reread it. The Wizard World is a novel that either inspired or was plagiarized by Warlock of the Magus World. I liked that the MC worked relentlessly toward his goals while acknowledging his human limits. He learns through trial and error, like a proper wizard would, helped by a chip that came with him from his advanced world. Wizardry here isn’t glamorous. It’s a cold and calculating path. Wizards spend most of their time buried in books or labs. Talent, preparation, and a good mentor are crucial or you’ll end up as a pawn. The MC learns to be cautious and doesn’t rush. I liked that he still retains his humanity. It’s worth a read.
