The Dignity of a Guide

Seo Juwon, who has possessed a minor guide character in a novel, is utterly bewildered and in denial, but soon realizes there's no going back. Since things have turned out this way, he decides to try and prevent the tragedies that will befall the protagonist, Han Jihyuk, five years later. After immense hardship, he finally succeeds in becoming the protagonist's personal guide. His mind is filled with thoughts of taking good care of the protagonist like this, and then eventually building a bridge to the original female lead.
