Sweet Days with the Array Master

Sui wakes up in a broom basket with chalk on its paws and a broken array line under its nose. The little white cub has a strange gift for patterns, and it keeps finding weak spots in walls, floors, and doors before anyone else sees them. The mortal family that takes it in thinks it is just clever and hungry. Sui thinks in smells, stone marks, and safe corners, and that makes it easy to trust and hard to hide. When the school starts asking questions, the cub must keep acting harmless while laying traps, mending barriers, and protecting the people who give it warm rice. The one thing it fears most is being used like a tool.
