Jeong-won (the protagonist) sees memories of the 'future' crashing over him like waves while fighting with his unfaithful spouse. A year later, he suffers a severe accident due to the schemes of Je-ha (the spouse) and Sa-gyeom (the cheating guide), resulting in complete paralysis.
