Jiang Lechen—the most skilled pig butcher among idols, the best singer-dancer among veterinarians. As a small, obscure member of a trainee boy band, Xiao Jiang feels less like he’s chasing dreams in the entertainment industry and more like he’s enduring military training. From Monday to Friday, he struggles through early morning university classes, fighting tooth and nail for attendance and grades.
