Imo this was a really good esports bl novel. It doesn't go too deep into gameplay, but also doesn't just skip over it. Idk if this is just a norm on fanqie, but it seems to me a lot of the recommended novels usually focus on side characters too. I really enjoy that, always love developed side characters so maybe fanqie is just really good at knowing what to recommend XD. The mc has a jealousy trait, but often times it's really just him joking around. Imo this is jealousy done right, doesn't make their partner awkward, all it does is feed others dog food and the he doesn't get jealous of their dog that is more sticky to the ml (I swear Ik this is a weird pet peeve, but why do authors enjoy having someone be jealous of their pets bruh). Their is a side couple as well and I quite enjoyed the story of how they got together, it can be said to be quite realistic? (Don't quote me on that I have never been in love). I like that the you could say main "villain" got more of reason to be so trash rather then just the role of a trash every novel needs. I enjoy that there is no real emphasis on their positions (basically no big size difference, the arrows are thick on both sides, both coddle each other and both can be weak too). Overall, this was an enjoyable read.
