    Summary

After Qi Chen died, he was bound to a live-streaming system designed to torment scumbags. His role was that of a cannon-fodder simp gong in a novel—devoting everything to the gong's love interest, the shou, only to be used and hurt by him in return. In the end, the main gong and shou lived happily ever after, while he met a miserable fate, even losing his life. Being a simp to the very end, he gained nothing. I don't usually write reviews for novels I have dropped, but this novel legit made me feel like a self conflicting mom trying to decide between beating her child or letting them go this one time. This type of novel is usually a feel good novel, where we get to see a bunch of face slapping and what not. I didn't expect to put much brain power into this novel to begin with. The first three worlds were fine and I can say I even kind of enjoyed it. But, by the fourth world I just wasn't that interested anymore. The scumbag shou is so stupid and incapable in every world to the point that I just don't feel anything from seeing them getting punished. I don't feel happy for the main character because there is literally no challenge. The MC is also overpowered af. I usually don't like this type of comments, as I feel like MCs should be good in their own ways to deserve being the MC in the first place. But dude just graduated uni and has so many talents, including several instruments, hacking/programming, good at playing video games, knows how to fight/use a gun, is very intelligent.... blah blah blah. Tbh that isn't what really threw me off and made me hesitate reading. It's the annoying audience pov. I can't believe I'm saying this. I'm a sucker for audience pov/streaming, but all the audience in this novel does is "Oh the streamer is so good looking!", "I wanna sleep with the streamer.", "Streamer look at me.". More than anything this felt like the chat on some inappropriate stream. Really wanted to roll my eyes. These comments literally don't provide anything to this novel except praise the MC's looks in quite a derogatory way as well. Combine this with MC's weird heartthrob attribute (not an actually written ability btw), where any world he goes into almost all the gongs suddenly show a liking towards him like ??? The thing is the MC imo is kinda average in terms of personality for so many to like lol. What I really don't get is why the author needed to add scenes of the MC developing relationship with the other men, when they r never gonna meet again (they r npcs, literally) and the MC didn't stay in those worlds long enough to actually need "friends" and develop a life there. Maybe I just needed to read more to get context or something (maybe there really is an heartthrob ability, trust), but I felt like it was time to let go. I haven't even talked abt the MC and ML situation and decided I wouldn't bcs I haven't finished the novel and see no point. All I can say is that I hate unequal relationships and this type of cold iceberg MC + really desperate simp ML is personally not my thing, as it exhaust me to read this.
