Hold On, You’re Something Else

Tbh I know I'm a sucker for crazy worlds with deep rooted inequality and the gentle, respecting gong that gives the shou so much respect and care that he had never had before that he stands out. So this review kinda biased ngl. Personally I quite liked this novel, even if a lot of the settings were purposefully crafted for the MC and ML to get together. Like ML's mind reading abilities that pop on occasionally, when needed, due to his distrusting nature. I liked the message at the end, where the ML saved himself, despite it seeming like the MC was going to be the one to save him (yes the MC did nurse the ML back to health, but the first step is taken by the ML). The found family with MC's "older brother" is my favorite. The number of side couples though, you kinda get a bit of everything ig (spoilers for ships ahead)omega x alpha (ML x MC), omega x beta (ML's crossdressing friend x MC's serious assistant), beta x beta (ML's science researcher brother x MC's brother's efficient assistant), alpha x alpha (MC's iceberg but caring older brother x An arrogant rich second generation + ex pursuer of MC). I think the only thing I didn't appreciate is the ending for the og owner of MC's body. Not only does the dude get described as less attractive than the MC's og body constantly, but he also doesn't necessarily get a conventional happy ending he basically died, I get that he wanted to be dead but still.., despite actually helping the MC and ML technically the whole world. Anyways a sweet and satisfying read if you don't bring a brain while reading it.
