Born into a family of crushing poverty, Yong-ju is an ordinary young man with a strong survival instinct, having jumped from one part-time job to another even before graduating high school to pay off his parents' debts. His friend, Dal-jun, takes advantage of Yong-ju's kind nature, using him as a shield and relying on his help whenever trouble arises.
