Drain the Pond to Catch the Fish

Gu Zeyan (Seme) & Yu Qingze (Uke) For Gu Zeyan, this was a long-premeditated scheme... For Yu Qingze, this was love at first sight... First love is a sweet secret, an anxious wait, stolen glances, the electric jolt of hands brushing by accident, the fear and prayer amid roaring cannon fire, the afternoon sun drifting on the wind, the breeze carrying the fragrance of rice flowers, an exhausting journey of sleepless nights, and all kinds of complicated, hidden, and ingenious probing and testing. —Mai Jia, *Life Is a Vast Sea*
