Demon Emperor

Ruan Hu transformed into a demon. He became a ridge beast atop the palace, glaring down at the mortals day after day. On the first day, he watched the emperor listen to poetry in the imperial garden. On the second day, he watched the emperor enjoy dances and music in the palace hall. One beauty after another stood by the emperor's side, with revelries every night. With a single word, he decided life and death, taking and giving as he pleased. On the fourth day, Ruan Hu pushed the emperor into the lake. He became the emperor.
