Good novel for people who enjoy loyal shadow guard novels, where the tragic guard gets pampered and bombarded with love. Short biscuit novel. I just felt a bit meh abt what the novel had to say. It feels hypocritical at times, where the mc does the same things as what he had condemned someone else for or at least the author condemns them, but not the main characters. The side couple was a bit off putting for me, especially since nothing gets explained, misunderstandings are left unexplained and the yandere kills people randomly without repercussion just bcs these people can reincarnate and get a better life?? That's no excuse lol. The yandere also possesses the body of a girl so technically it is straight on the outside gay on the inside XD. I also hate how the MCs mostly don't care abt the world. Of course, I'm not abt merciful characters or whatever, but usually in cultivation novels you pay back to the world for making you so powerful. If the world lends you it's spiritual energy to make you strong then you repay that by helping the world and the mortals. Just a small complaint. I didn't like that the main villain had basically no repercussion at the end and was even able to stay with his "lover". Maybe I just have something against lovesick people, but I honestly feel like the mc's second brother deserved better based on the morals this novel shows. At least he was the only one in the demon lord family tree that does things with a purpose other then love
