My late father told me this story: In the year 2160, without any warning, the surface of the moon collapsed. Earth was struck by cataclysmic events. Mountains were blown away, leaving endless wastelands. Storms raged uncontrollably. Parts of the Earth’s crust peeled away, exposing the mantle, and all of Earth’s volcanoes erupted at once. Only a small number of humans survived by escaping to underground cities, and all life on the surface was wiped out.
