this story has been with me since my teenage years, n no matter how many times i reread it, i still end up falling in love with it all over again. it still makes me cry, laugh, n get attached to the characters like it’s the first time. i love every part of the cast, from the dark dragon n the happy hungry bunch to soo-won. watching yona grow from a sheltered princess who couldn't do anything on her own into someone capable of standing on the battlefield n navigating politics was honestly amazing. what hit me the hardest was always the relationship between yona, hak, n soo-won. their friendship broke my heart over n over again. even after learning the truth, i couldn't bring myself to hate soo-won, but i also couldn't forgive him for destroying something so precious. i think that's exactly how yona felt too. n hak... out of everyone, he's the one i felt the most heartbroken for. he lost so much yet kept moving forward for the people he loved. seeing yona n hak eventually find yoon n the four dragons after everything they'd been through made me feel so emotional. after all that pain n loneliness, i was just grateful they found a family in each other.
