tbh, not at all what i was expecting from the contract marriage. consider it a pleasant surprise. i assumed there was more to ji mingxuan's intentions. i like the twist !

same issue as times of our lives, though a more solid story. i still don't like how their relationship and career build up was handled. i'm missing out on the detail.. good, could have been even better if we slowed down a bit.

i felt like i was losing brain cells at first, and absolutely every single character is in desperate need of therapy, but i grew to be extremely fond of jun and yohan. is this trauma bonding? might be.. author lost their mind while writing the omegaverse au (one i usually love) so i just skimmed it (• - •)ゝ

started out strong, devolved not long after they got together thanks to sinian's condition.. sucks because his fetish, yanyan's exploring, the supporting characters were all great. i was about to advise yanyan he go and get sinian neutered. it gets to a point.

there was potential. might've read one too many esports novels that i started comparing. first of all–can the mc get any more bland? i liked him at first. halfway through.. a bit bored.

if you blink, you might miss years of their lives. i understand the author wants to write well into their future, but i think they should have focused on one plot point and continued their adult life in the extras. too fast, not enough time to enjoy building the foundation of their relationship.

the whole pheromone and compatibility thing is interesting and different. usually this compatibility element isn't explained, so i liked this had some slight scientific reasoning. i liked all three couples and eagerly want to read qin bao's story. i accidentally kept imagining zhou zhou's appearance after that one chi jiahan art, which eventually stuck. not complaining because it suits him. the disparity between his appearance and his soft, submissive puppy personality is mwah mwah delicious. this little zhou zhou learning how to interpret ling che the tsundere, yet not getting anything from it because ling che's misunderstanding of his feelings and mental state hah.. i was frustrated ! it all was worth it in the end, especially after the extra of how they first met and became close. gege, say ilu more in the future~

i admit that i started reading it as a quick smut fix. i got that and more. the story of two people looking for the same thing in completely different ways.

if you're searching for a tsundere mc, you will love our little qin bao. wfjx writes characters with interesting backgrounds and professions, including the minor friends who show up here and again. i want to give this novel a 5 star rating like asteroid however, at times, it really felt like the shared universe aspect was holding it back. the author themself said that the explanation of the feng family's background seemed farfetched. the introduction of the whole interstellar war and self-driving cars felt like there was a disconnect to asteroid and even to the current story itself, all while keeping in the timeline of xu tangzhou's relevance to qin bao's life. (love their friendship so much btw) i also felt a bit blue balled after coming over from asteroid, but i don't know if that's the author's fault. nonetheless, it's an interesting novel i was entertained by from start to finish. i hope we get ying chen and qiu yin's story too ( ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈) when and where did you first meet? feng chengyu: in his baby cradle. HA-

putting it on pause at chapter 27 for now. i'm not solid on the translation yet. might wait for the other one to be complete first.

not bad, not amazing. i like the couple's relation to each other, however.. the gong is too childish. not so much immature, more as in acts like an actual child. i'm usually pretty indifferent to these themes, but his behavior was borderline uncomfortable at times :L

PLEASE I NEED EXTRAS T^T do the pair of swans get their little eggs? this novel was so addicting. i pretty much only stopped reading to sleep, eye fatigue be damned. i felt a bit frustrated when xiaowen repeatedly slipped through lu kongyun's fingers like a little fish, but it turned out well. "i will forever find joy in this world that has you” MAN lu kongyun, you've should've understood from that !

after a week of giving it my best, i'm calling it quits just before the end of the main story. my reason being.. i just can't force myself to read what i don't have interest in when i could be reading something else. little disclaimer–i don't read mtl novels. i had started this novel thinking it was at least edited mtl. it seemed that way to me the first few handful of chapters before quickly devolving into mismatched pronouns and irrelevant names, as if the mtler had given up. (if they were ever editing it at all ahem (ᵔ ̮ ᵔ)›) i don't think the story is bad. soohwan is a bit weird at first, but the plot is interesting. i probably would've finished it if it had been properly translated. one day i might peep in and see how it ends. for now.. it's going to sit in 'dropped' while i reflect on seokhwa's obsession with stones from time to time.
