Spirit Realm Walker

Good writing, good flow, immersive, good romance, good suspense. Really not much more you can ask from the authour. He has several successful works and is mentioned in the conversation of best Qidian writers of all time for a reason.

Immortality

Fav xianxia to this day. Not a pure xianxia like Martial Peak, as MC’s an emperor. Trad xianxia style romance. Myths and reincarnation done really will, being the authour’s strength. MC’s as an old retired merchant, so you get a level-headed MC. Even when humiliated, he grits his teeth and plans a comeback.You can tell the author had a vision. Foreshadowing’s a hit or miss. Not as well written as some others—but there's a level of peace I find reading it like the dish ratatouille.

After Rebirth, I Don't Want to Make Choices

Honestly, it's a miracle this novel is still on Qidian somehow (Ince*t ). Pretty good, mostly just romance and slice of life.

Girl, Don't Be Anxious

Painfully mediocre. Marred by poor writing, needlessly wordy, awkward and unrealistic dialogue and scenarios, face-slapping and showing off poorly executed, and romantic separations. Though not overtly repetitive like MGA & MP nor is there wish fulfillment like AST. Nothing positive really stands out. Not bad per se, but wouldn’t recommend.

My Senior Sister Knows How to Use Magic

As much as I genuinely love Rong Xiaorong and all of their works (with every other one of their works being a masterpiece), this one is is by far worst and doesn't math the rest of their works. Extremely rushed story, unnatural power progression, lackluster romance, poor face-slapping, and other issues.

I Have a Sword Immortal Wife

I genuinely loved this novel. Extremely slow paced, SOL, romance, school life (ancient Chinese school). Perfect balance of showing off, character development, etc. Very well written and authour pulls at one's emotions really well. I vividly remember my heart pounding from anxiety. More drama focused.

The Lights and Shadows of Korean Entertainment

About an adopted CN orphan raised in KR by the mafia so some nationalism but mild. Major plot lines: • Taking power in the mafia, expanding, and legitimizing (in appearance) • Romance based on real women from the KR entertainment world The 2 plot lines converge. I like the romance as the FLs slowly come to terms with his background. It's a beautiful interplay with great relationship building. MC isn't a good person (e.g., He rap*s the first FL. Would normally turn me off but it works here).

I Really Don’t Want to be Reborn

This made Qidian's top 20 masterpiece list. A great execution of realistic polygamy in the modern day in a world of harem FLs that don’t seem to care about the other women the MC has. MC juggles multiple GFs. He is a scumbag who is cheating and acknowledges that. His GFs will not accept sharing him. Ensue a novel where he tries to make it work and has a believable, realistic end. Some nationalism and the business is light. While his GFs do react like normal people, they’re too submissive.

So I Am A Demon Descendent!

This story has left me in shambles. It's a sequel to ‘My Elder Sister is a Superstar’. MC finds he has demon blood and his ancestor, who's been unsealed, follows him as he uncovers things. So many converging elements all coming to make an incredible story. Tragedy, Angst, Family, Brotherhood, Action, Drama, etc.—all converge into an incredible story. Like a gradual descent into madness. So read its predecessor, put away all your expectations, and read with an open mind.

Nightwatcher [Guardians of the Dafeng]

Made Qidian’s top 20 masterpiece list. MC becomes a a gov official in ancient Chinese xianxia world. Proceeds to use science to get himself out of difficult situations and starts cultivation. Romance/harem and the whole shebang. Great world building and characters. Unique handling of the emperor relationship. Well written and thought out. Part of the class of authors who clearly had a story board before writing and aren't extending their work's chapters or word count for money.
