synopsis: mc suddenly wakes up in another body, the natural train of thought is to call up a status window, and when the window says [debut or die] you follow it's instructions faithfully. let's topple the idol industry! the entertainment industry is depicted in a realistic way, from the internet comments and company politics. the plot behind the status window isn't just a means to make the MC op, but sets up interesting conflicts and is used as a mechanism for character development! the side characters are multifaceted, and interpersonal relationships need maintenance creating anticipation. eventually this will be natural and we'll fit together like a puzzle, but for now let's be awkward.

synopsis: our mc is suddenly summoned into an exam site, of DOOM. with his curt words and even colder demeanor he undermines the authority of the examiners while surprising the other examinees with his disobedience towards authority. he recruits a foxy examiner along the way, with whom he can't seem to shake from his mind. an infinite flow/survival games story. flips expectations by making you engage yourself into this story not because of hair-raising suspense but through the mystique of the characters. one sec mc/ml are brute forcing their way through unimaginable horrors, the other sec you’re hit with longing so ingrained in the body it transcends the mind.

synopsis: the world is a play, the MC is an extra. He must act accordingly to the script and strengthen his narrative weight or he'll die. By becoming more entangled with the ML, dissonance between the script and the world is questioned. my fave and nothing comes close! the plot devices are familiar but the author does a wonderful job at fleshing out the details gradually and purposefully, everything in this story occurs for a reason. the writing accentuates the character dynamics portrayed. my favorite moments occur when the script disappears. ITS EVERYTHING. its a break. destiny, time, and enemies rendered into nothingness. touches that lead up to nothing, just out of habit.

synopsis: mc possesses the body of an unfortunate extra. while the ml is a sickly villain who's destined to die. mc's previous life was filled with tedium and perils beyond the luxury of modern life. but the indifference ingrained by the apocalypse slowly wears away under the awkward care of a bumbling ml. through the drama of the entertainment industry, the mc and ml both find a reason for living. was an entertaining read! the conflicts in the novel remained consistent with the development of the characters thus major villains actually had an impact/created tension. the relationship between ml and mc was also just so sweet, like wow in sickness and in health they loved each other.

synopsis: after MC's death, he discovers the afterlife isn't exactly how it's imagined on Earth. in death a city exists divided by districts, shrouded in night, with no reprieve for the lingering souls. inhabitants are required to enter games that border on cruel and unusual punishments in order to achieve a chance at reincarnation. there is no room for weakness in yong city, but between mc and ml maybe there's room for vulnerability the trials are interesting to read and they flesh out the relationship dynamics really well between mc and ml. some are simple life/death games, others have a more narrative/overarching aspect. I LIVE FOR BANTER, theyre so silly i love the back and forth between mc and ml, (indifferent/cold mcXteasing ml)
