The setting of this novel is that two graduate students have to kill the professor (assassination classroom vibes). But he doesn’t try to act like a professor and doesn't even teach the students. Instead, it feels like the students are the antagonists even though they are quite literally supposed to try and kill the professor to graduate. Every time the students try to kill him, the students are treated as trash for some reason.
