Surprisingly, for such a large harem, he managed to write them very well and it didn't feel excessive at any point. Though there were a couple characters he kinda just forgot about but over all, a solid harem novel with great romance.

A solid 8/10. Though cultivation does play a part in the story this should be read as a slice of life and harem-building novel. A stunning cast of women that each has a distinct personality as well as story/screen time. One thing that I did notice and subtracted some rating for is that there are no other significant male characters, no fathers, friends, etc. Overall, it was a solid mix of action, comedy, and romance. Reading this gave me diabetes.

Avoid this novel at all cost. The premise is very very interesting but there's just some extreme racism and nationalism. Unfortunately, unlike other alt-history novels, this racism/nationalism extends to real world stuff and isn't limited to world building.

I'm going to vent here for a moment. There are people who love harems, there are people who like OTPs, and there are people who don't want any romance in their novels. There's one thing that they ALL have in common and that is pseudo-harems are vile and a waste of time to read.
